A Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mk II (GSLV-F14) launched the INSAT-3DS meteorological satellite into a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR (SDSC SHAR), Sriharikota, on 17 February 2024, at 12:05 UTC (17:35 IST). INSAT-3DS “is designed for enhanced meteorological observations and monitoring of land and ocean surfaces for weather forecasting and disaster warning”.
