Chessboard Drum Machine MAJOR UPDATE: Midi Chess, Pulsar-23

It’s been nine months since I first posted a video showcasing the Chessboard Drum Machine, a collaborative project with software engineer Shaun McFall using the DGT smart chessboard. In that time we’ve completely redesigned how it works, resulting in something truly new and special: the music sounds like the game! And it only gets better from here. In this video I walk you step by step through where the software stands right now, and how I’m using it to trigger sounds on the Soma Labs Pulsar-23, plus talk about plans for the future of the instrument.
