Growing pressure on Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko over “fraudulent” election - BBC News
The UK has said it doesn’t recognise the result of the recent presidential election in Belarus — which returned Alexander Lukashenko to power.
here have been more protests in Belarus over the result. Mr Lukashenko, who’s been in power for more than 26 years, was heckled by workers on a visit to a factory.
It follows massive protests in the capital Minsk, with opposition leaders calling for him to step down.
