If you mute the sample, the pad color will turn orange, if you select “solo”, it will turn blue. Click on the drum rack header, press command G, the instrument rack appears, add another empty drum rack to it, rename it to the color pack (it should be higher than the drum rack with samples) open the “Drop Devices Here” panel, right-click “Create Chain“ inside the panel. With the “option” key pressed, drag (copy) the created Chain to all pads, Atom displays the filling. Now, using “solo” and “mute”, you can change the color of the desired pad.
