Update: Thanks to Arsen Lapin for making flashcards: If you’re a Go player who doesn’t speak Chinese/Mandarin, this video will help you use any Chinese Life & Death Tsumego book! Lots of valuable Go resources are in Chinese and inaccessible to many interested Go players due to language barrier. Even if you were to study years of Chinese to advanced proficiency, it’s unlikely you’d specifically get to learn Go terms in the curriculum. So I hope making such videos will catapult you straight to understanding Go resources and conversations in Chinese even as a complete beginner in Mandarin! You’ll be able to read books, watch Go lectures, use apps/Go servers, and discuss game situations in Chinese with other Go players at international events! I plan to make a variety of Go content and as this is my first Go video, I’m not sure about the response and direction of future videos yet.
