Bartolomeo Lustrini (fl. ca. 1759): Sonata in C-Major

World Première Recording 1) Allegretto: 00:00 2) Minuè: 3:45 I would love to tell you at least a bit of interesting information about the life of this composer, but alas! Practically no details about him can be found anywhere. According to a German Lexicon of musicians, the French composer Grétry once wrote that Lustrini was active in Rome in 1759, yet we have no idea when he was born, or died. The present sonata, which I found in (digitized) manuscript , is hardly a great work, but it does have its charm; with its two-movement structure, it is typical of a lot of Italian keyboard sonatas around the 1750s. - David Bolton, “The Digital Harpsichordist” Is it possible that you still haven’t seen my books?!
