In the sacred forest of Tarakavana, a group of accomplished Rishis, having attained Mantra Siddhis, became intoxicated with their power. They began to believe they were all-powerful and denied the existence of God, convinced that performing rituals alone would fulfill their desires.
To guide and humble them, Paramashiva descended in the form of a handsome young Sadhu. His presence was so enchanting that the wives of the Rishis were captivated, leaving their husbands to follow him. This unexpected turn of events shook the proud Rishis to their core.
Furious and wanting to destroy the young Sadhu, the Rishis performed a Yagna, creating a powerful Damaru to annihilate him. To their amazement, the Sadhu effortlessly caught hold of the weaponized instrument and began to play with it. Undeterred, the Rishis sent a wild tiger towards him out of the Yajna. The Sadhu, however, liberated the tiger and adorned himself with its skin!
