USAF B-1B Bombers Depart at Dawn | RAF Fairford

After getting the Fairford spotters on their toes at midnight for a speculated 0100 departure, the B-1s sat quietly on the ground until about 0400 hrs and then didn’t actually depart until 0715! Personally, I was hoping for a pitch black departure for a unique view of the four afterburning engines, but instead, we settled for a dawn departure - though, to be honest, we would have settled for anything having stayed up all night! Looking forward to seeing these many more times during their deployment here.
