Throughout his career he has long been a member of the well-known Jazz Messengers line-up and has performed with giants such as Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Charles Mingus and many more. “What’s Up“, a record originally released in 1989 that contains the last recording made by this excellent artist, is now being re-released by Steeplechase on vinyl, in a precious reissue created using the original matrices. On the album Hardman (trumpet) he has alongside him Paul Brown (bass), Leroy Williams (drums), Mickey Tucker (piano), Junior Cook (tenor sax) and Robin Eubanks (trombone).
