In this video, Kya explains how Dissociative Identity Disorder forms, briefly covers the theory of Structural Dissociation and goes over two different types of sub-systems that can exist in DID Systems. He covers why forming subsystems and polyfragmentation can both result in having high numbers of Alters for some systems, as well as talking about our own subsyem.
Kya sheds some insight on the slow healing and integration process in order to make sense of DID, uncovering Alters and trauma memories, and why its so complicated trying find answers about what’s going on in your own head!
