Thrasher mexico 2017 - a sneak peek at the Thrasher Na11 under development

Here is a sneak peak at the Thrasher Na11 salt water concept jet boat. This is a video of a prototype concept boat that we are calling Thrasher Na11. We have many challenges to overcome in order to offer our first salt water rated RC Jet boat. As far as I can tell this will be the first salt water rated electric RC boat designed and tested to truly handle the significant challenges that salt water presents. From motor and connector environment isolation to a hull and drive system designed to withstand high load landings from big air and the crushing of the waves; we are working hard to address all of the challenges that the ocean has to offer. Do not try this with your Thrasher or any other electric boat that has not been designed for this environment. This test boat is a follow on to the original modified Thrasher test boat that we ran testing on in 2016. There is enough to overcome without having cost get too high that I do not want to put a date on when the Na11 will be available for purchase, but we have learned enough since 2016 to feel very confident that we will bring a production salt water jet boat to the market at some point in the future.
