The Book of Eibon

In truth, The Book of Eibon does not exist. It was created by Clark Ashton Smith, and serves the same purpose as the dreaded Necronomicon, written ostensibly by the Mad Arab Abdul Alhazred, but invented by H P Lovecraft. These fictious mystical grimoires exist to give substance to the strange thoughts derived from the mind of inspired writers, and there is nothing evil about them. Lovecraft intended for other future writers to use his strange grimoire to supplement their own fiction. As such, my interest in The Book of Eibon was taken from a strange story that was developing in my mind, and I knew that I would need the dreaded book to accomplish my task. My interest involved an eccentric 19th century antiquarian gentleman who, with the possession of the silver key, figured out a way to travel back through time to rescue the soul of his lover, and then to escape into the infinite future, after first erasing the tracks of their own existence on Earth.
