The new California minimum wage raise will cover workers in the fast food industry — all except Panera, which happens to be owned by a pal of California Governor Gavin Newsom. A provision of the bill exempts fast food restaurants that bake bread on the premeses. Critics are suggesting that the close relationship between Newsom and Panera’s CEO Greg Flynn Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss how outrageous the suggestion is that the law would be impacted by such rank crony capitalism.
