Soul Furnace is now out and available everywhere!. No edits or quantizing, and no samples except for a kick blend, and as always done in one take. Had a lot of fun with the ride parts in this one trying to spice it up a bit. We approached this record with a very real and organic production in mind, keeping performances honest and the tones are basically what you hear in the room. Drums on these videos were engineered by Troy Mccosker, and mixed by Declan White. I had a lot of fun putting this record together, it was very different to my normal approach - it was very much get in the studio and capture what comes out, pretty rock n roll style. The whole record was put together and tracked within a few months. I re-tracked every song off the record for these play thrus, so keep an eye out for those. As usual, no quantizing/edit/video tricks except my 3rd camera angle because I only have 2 cameras.. All drums are natural except a blended kick drum. Follow me:
