Yunona Bukasova is the youngest ever climber to Mt. Elbrus, 5642 m, 18510 ft, at the age 9 years
Yunona Bukasova climbed Elbrus, the highest mountain of Europe and Russia on july 17, 2012 at the age of 9 year 1 month, beating the previous age record of Matthew Moniz ( who climbed Elbrus in 2008) by 14 month. Elbrus is an entry level serious mountain, where about 10-15 people still dies every year ( several times more then on denali or Kilimanjaro)
Younona is the same girl who hiked Mt. whitney in a single day at the age of 5 years.
