Inspired by Roy Underhill of “The Woodwright’s Shop“ fame on PBS TV out of North Carolina, I show how I built a wooden toy unicycle with a little guy on it that rides on a tightrope. Mentioned in Season 28, episode 9 the “little guy“, as called by Roy, has been a project that I have thought about making for quite a while.
Materials: Walnut for the body, Oak for the legs, Maple for the top hat
The little guy is approximately 10“ tall, wheel is approximately 3“ diameter
