Few people devote as much time to filming and watching little owls as we do. For at least 8 years, every year, we have been shooting these small but very energetic owls. And during this time, wherever we have not had to find the nests of these birds. There were even very unusual places. For example, for two years we have been shooting little owls in a very unusual hole: But in all cases, one thing was unchanged: the owls nested in burrows. Whether artificial, as in concrete floors, whether natural, as in sand pits, or in a pile of stones. In the same year, for the first time we saw the nest of a little owl in an open area, in an abandoned building. As a rule, such unusual places are chosen due to the lack of other suitable places, and the probability that in such non-standard cases it will be possible to breed offspring tends to zero.
