Shimokitazawa is not just another district in Tokyo. Alot of the shops here are local to Shimokita and unlike Shibuya and Shinjuku its quiet. At night this place can come alive though with poets, artists and people trying to sell you, well pretty much anything. Great places to eat. Los of cafes and diners that are startups.
