NONOTAK - SATELLITES

NONOTAK kinetic light & Sound installation, 2023. Artist : Noemi Schipfer & Takami Nakamoto. Project team, hardware design & fabrication : Vincent de Belleval. Commissioned by Fremantle Biennale. Weaving together the graceful interplay of motion and geometry, vibrant lights trace infinite circles, creating hypnotic waves that transcend time and space. At the heart of this installation lies the exploration of duality, where opposing forces harmoniously coexist. Two lines, adorned with light units at their edges, engage in a captivating dance, moving in a battle-like rhythm that is synchronised with the soundscape. Their motions create an infinite spectacle, as if engaged in a timeless performance. The installation is composed of seven pairs of light units, dispersed throughout the space in a deliberate arrangement.
