Deine Lakaien - Colour-Ize (20 Years of Electronic Avantgarde)

Dear music friends and fans, the second part of our “20 Years of Electronic Avantgarde“ concert begins after the break with a “restart“: Only as a duo, with the old synthesizers and our Commodore C64 from 1985, we play the very first song that Deine Lakaien ever wrote: “Colour-ize“. At the beginning, you can see that we are concerned about the reliability of the electronic equipment oldies on stage, but then everything went wonderfully and we were able to indulge in the music, and the song about inner paralysis and loneliness on a winter day. The song’s biggest musical characteristic is the persevered “empty fifth” which is an element that is mainly known from the music of the Middle Ages. At this point a late thank you to Gerhard Lengeling is due, who was a great and, above all, reliable help to us electronic musicians with the software “Creator“ for the now vintage C64.
