Anglo-Russian Treaty (1942)

Titles read: “ANGLO-RUSSIAN TREATY“. Various locations of events. At a Northern aerodrome early in May a Russian bomber arrives and out steps Mr Vyacheslav Molotov, Russian Foreign Minister, dressed in flying suit. He is greeted by a Guard of Honour. The Russian crew of the bomber get together with their British counterpart. Molotov takes his seat on special train and makes his journey towards London with other officials. Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden greets Mr Molotov and Ivan Maisky, Russian Ambassador, at a railway station outside London. They start to walk down the platform. In the garden of No. 10 Downing Street, the group pose for the cameras. Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Mr Molotov, Mr Maisky, Mr Eden, Clement Attlee. Churchill makes a comment about the two countries working together. In the Foreign Office shots of both sides signing the Anglo-Soviet Treaty of Alliance. Anthony Eden makes a short speech about the common enemy being defeated and pledging to work together. M
