Kenway And Young Issue Title Is On The Spot (1943)

Part of issue ON THE SPOT. Pathe Studios, London. Comedy sketch with Nan Kenway and Douglas Young, also featuring Leslie Bridgemont as the Burgher Master (town official). Studio set is dressed as a pub. Nan is working behind the bar as a favour to the landlord. This gives Douglas an idea; he gets Nan to disguise herself so she will not be recognised. Leslie enters as the Burgher Master. Nan and Douglas trick him into buying them loads of drinks by deliberately misunderstanding everything he says (e.g when Leslie comments that the weather is too mild, Nan pours two glasses of mild!)
