As Israel’s siege on northern Gaza continues, civilians are facing unthinkable hardships. Since October 6, Israeli forces have been relentlessly attacking the region, claiming to target Hamas but killing at least 450 people, many of whom are civilians, including women and children. The humanitarian crisis worsens as no food aid has entered the region for weeks, with vital supplies running out and hospitals barely functioning.
In Beit Lahiya on Saturday, residential buildings were bombed, leaving 87 people killed or missing. UN officials have warned that any forced evacuation of civilians from the region would amount to a war crime, but many of the 400,000 people trapped there have no means to leave due to Israeli bombardments and blockades.
The situation is particularly grim for the injured, with only three hospitals still partially functioning under constant bombing. Rescue efforts are hindered by road blockages and communication blackouts, leaving families in desperation.
