This arrest follows heightened security measures across the nation after receiving warnings from foreign intelligence services about a potential threat. Security forces have increased their presence, particularly in Arugam Bay, a popular tourist and surfing destination in eastern Sri Lanka, after intelligence suggested that Israeli nationals may be at risk.
