Turkey has launched a second consecutive day of airstrikes against Kurdish militant targets in Syria and Iraq, following a deadly attack on a defense company in Ankara. The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) targeted key locations used by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and its affiliates, including military facilities, energy infrastructure, and ammunition depots, according to state-run Anadolu Agency. Turkey’s Defense Minister Yasar Guler stated that 47 targets were destroyed in Wednesday’s strikes—29 in Iraq and 18 in Syria. Armed drones were used in Thursday’s operations as Turkey intensified its crackdown on the PKK after the recent attack that claimed five lives at TUSAS, an aerospace and defense company.
