Washington Diesel direct-reversing Tug Arthur Foss

See and hear the Washington Diesel engine of the Tug Arthur Foss as it runs, stops, and re-starts in the opposite direction. This is done with air pressure and a special sliding camshaft that allows the engine to spin either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Engine has 6 cylinders, 18 X 24 bore and stroke, 700 HP @ 200 rpm.
