Pro-Palestine marchers stage ’day of national action’ in north London

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters staged a march from Chalk Farm station in north London as part of a ’day of national action’. Protesters chanted “Israel is a terror state“, “Free, free Palestine” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” – a chant considered by many Jewish people to be antisemitic – as they marched towards Camden Town station. A man was spoken to by police officers and warned against ’agitating a crowd’ after shouting at the protesters to “go home and stop wasting everyone’s time“. Israel started intense air strikes in Gaza after Hamas terrorists killed and butchered Israelis on October 7 and took hundreds of hostages.
