Mottled Cup Moth caterpillar making chryalis

I was asked to identify this Mottled Cup Moth caterpillar by a local bushcare colleague. Pretty pink and green creatures that can present stinging spines for protection if disturbed. So treat with care if you find them on the eucalypt trees they eat. The chrysalis is woven with silky thread then hardens and shrinks to look like a gum nut. Образовательные видео в паблике
