21 REAL-LIFE questions native English speakers use every day!

I put together a list of questions that many of my students ask me about that are often not found in course books. Why? Well, these questions are informal and are mainly heard in casual conversations. Many times students have difficulties understanding these questions because of their contracted forms. For example: “How are you doing?“ becomes “How you doin?“ Think about each questions as ONE PIECE OF VOCABULARY. Where are you headed? What brings you to the US? How do you take your tea? How’s it goin’? How you doin’? What have you been up to? What is he/she up to? What’s going on? What’s wrong (with you)? How could you? What’s up with him/her? What’s the deal with that? What do you do? What have I done? Who do you think you’re talking to? What’s gotten into you? Who are you, and what have you done with Bob? Why would i? How come? Where does the time go?
