The Quantum Communications Infrastructure (QCI)

In the next decade, the EU plans to develop and deploy a secure pan-European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (QCI), to become the backbone of the Quantum Internet. The QCI will make quantum cryptography a part of conventional communication networks, protecting the EU’s sensitive data and digital infrastructures and making it possible to exchange information between EU countries in a secure way.
