In this video we explore a fast and simple approach to learning how to draw a charcoal portrait sketch. This technique is also known as a “wipe out“method in which we use a kneaded eraser to subtract the lights.

Charcoal: Nitram Fusains B 5mm (sharpened with sand paper)
Paper: 11x14“ Strathmore Pastel 400 Series
Paper Towel: Viva Brand Cloth-like (amazing for drawing/painting)
