On May 11, 2023, Officers Barrientos and Speights interacted with a woman named Rain at 611 S Main. Officers discovered that Rain had an active warrant for her arrest, which Rain stated she was unaware of. Upon learning this, officers took Rain into custody. After verifying her U.S. citizenship and ascertaining no dependents, she was transported to the Roswell Police Department before being transferred to the Chaves County Detention Center.
