Tino’s Braitenberg Spider Robot

Analog controlled light sensing spider robot. The control unit was inspired by the so-called “Braitenberg vehicles“. It works without any logic device. Valentino Braitenberg described a series of thought experiments in which vehicles with simple internal structure behave in unexpectedly complex ways. These vehicles are bug-like entities which have direct connections between sensors and motors. Their behaviour is modulated by changing the pattern and strengths of these connections.
