Why this cancer patient wanted to ‘dance in death’s face’
Deltra James was 33 when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 triple negative metastatic breast cancer. Five years later, she celebrated being alive with a 70s-themed cancerversary, which some patients refer to as a milestone related to diagnosis day or treatment. The vibrant disco party featured 70s-inspired decor, groovy outfits, and classic hits like Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing.“
