Iran ready for war with Israel, Iranian officials say | LiveNOW from FOX

Iran appears ready to go to war with Israel but also hopes to avoid it, the New York Times reports via Iranian officials. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly ordered Iran’s armed forces to develop multiple plans to respond to an imminent attack by Israel in response to this month’s Iranian attack on Israel, which included 180 ballistic missiles. Iran has warned it will escalate if Israel causes significant damage, injuries or deaths, but will likely stand down if Israel merely targets a limited number of military and weapons sites. Those Iranian officials told the New York Times (NYT) that a response from Iran could include up to 1000 ballistic missiles or the disruption of energy supplies throughout the region. The Mossad chief and US officials are expected to travel to Doha, Qatar over the weekend to resume talks for a ceasefire and hostage release deal. An Egyptian security delegation also met with a Hamas delegation in Cairo, Egypt. FOX’s Matt Fin
