twined rag weaving on frame loom

twining is an old craft used alot by the homemakers during the great depression. BY repurposing clothing and leftover textiles, scraps of wood or picture frames used as looms, and even the warp is made of old bedsheets or other fabric. these rugs are very thick and lay flat due to heavy nature of finished rug. A twined rug will last and last. This particular project shows the use of 2 broken antena as warp dowels, as warps are wound on these rather than loom they can be untied from each other and weavin
