Post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) can be a consequence of DVT
If a DVT is not treated properly, there is the risk of developing a complication known as post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) in the future. A PTS can manifest itself in calf pain, discomfort, swelling, ulcers or rashes.
