Tesla nearly plows into moving train in self-drive mode

A Tesla driver in Ohio had a narrow escape when he almost crashed straight into a moving train, a near miss reportedly caused by his car’s self-driving mode. Craig Doty was driving down a road at night earlier this month, when dashcam footage showed his car heading towards a passing train with no sign of slowing down. Doty says that his Tesla was in full self-driving mode at the time, and that he was forced to wrestle control from the car at the last minute, grabbing the wheel and swerving to avoid the train. Even worse is Doty’s claim that this has happened before, escaping serious injury less than 6 months earlier, when his car attempted to drive into a moving train.
