Tenkara Salmon Fishing: Washington State Pink Salmon

I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of fall salmon and the opportunity to put some of my heavier tenkara rods to the test. I traveled to Northwest Washington state to pursue Pink Salmon on small and clear waters. I was not disappointed and found large schools of aggressive Pink Salmon eager to take a beadhead kebari fly in pink and orange. I initially used a Diawa Kiyose 53m rod but found it a little too hefty for the job and quickly found my rhythm using a TenkaraUSA Amago with 4.5 level line and 6 lb
