Panaque armbrusteri - Rio Jamanxim

Panaque armbrusteri (Lujan et al. 2010) was described from the Rio Tapajos drainage basin in the Brazilian Amazon. They are commonly called ’Thunder Panaque’ or Thunder royal’ due to their striking black and gold pattern. This fish was collected from the Rio Jamanxim, a tributary of the Tapajos, and imported by Pier Aquatics, UK. Filmed on a Canon 60D with a 50mm f1.8 lens and extension tubes. Nathan K.
