Have you been wanting to try a little quilting but feel intimidated? This is the project for you! This easy and simple pillow made with Half square Triangles (HST) is a great introduction to piecing and quilting. Experienced sewers will also love showing off theirs skills and making something quick :)
You will need a 16’’ x 16’’ pillow form, and 18’’ x 18’’ piece of cotton batting, two 10’’ x 10’’ pieces of gray quilting weight cotton fabric and two pieces of 10’’ x 10’’ quilting weight cotton white fabric. For the backing you will need 2 pieces of 17’’ x 15’’ cotton fabric. Finally, you need fabric scissors, ruler, pencil, sewing machine, thread and iron/ ironing board.
