Happy birthday Claudia ........A new Glen Session with Austro-Irish violin sensation Claudia Schwab, we were delighted when Claudia agreed to play down in the Glen. We were very excited to have her play as she is one of the most unique performers out there. We asked her what the tune is about and I think Claudia explains it better that ’s called ’Jodlfunk- Da Alma zua’- which means ’Jodlfunk- Headed towards the mountains’, or more specifically the field on a mountain, that’s an ’Alma’. ’And then they went towards the mountains and looked at the world below them. And only then they realised what’s going on down there and asked themselves what it’s all for’. (That’s the lyrics to it). It’ s gonna be on my debut album coming out later this year feat. amazing musicians from Ireland (Sligo and Donegal), Austria and Estonia... bringing together Austrian and Irish traditions...
