“VIP“ (pronounced like whip or zip... not ) is the Japanese way of dressing cars up... body kits, dropped suspension, HID fog lights, custom headlights, wood and leather interiors, big rims and low profile that. Fabulous or Junction Produce are big names in the VIP genre. Although some people try to VIP little cars, generally speaking VIP cars are big body sedans with larger engines, are luxurious and chunky looking. I think personally companies like Brabus and Lorinser styled Merceds would be considered “VIP“ and are probably part of the influence behind the genre. Any large sedan can be “VIPPED“... though the Japanese tend to go for Japanese sedans or cars like Jaguar and Mercedes Benz.
