‘Stay indoors’: Defence expo guests told not to leave as protest turns violent

Multiple individuals attending a defence expo in Melbourne have been notified they should stay inside the venue due to the danger of the escalating rally outside, according to Sky News Victoria Political Reporter Simon Love. His remarks come as protesters clash with police outside the Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition. Reportedly, around 1,800 police officers have been assembled to manage the expected 25,000 protesters. “A few exhibitors have been told officially by the conference ‘stay indoors, stay in the convention centre for now’,” Mr Love said.
