Outdoor realisation of ’Nachtstück’ by Eva-Maria Houben, played by Dominic Lash (double bass). The piece from which this extract was taken was recorded in a small wood above the village of Hathersage in Derbyshire, England. Environmental sounds dominate the recording, which was made in September 2010. ’Nachtstück’ appears on the CD ’Droplets’, alongside two realisations by the composer Taylan Susam, and an extended trio improvisation by Dominic Lash, Patrick Farmer and Sarah Hughes.
