Bittersweet Victory A Medal’s Truth

It’s hard to put into words the mix of emotions I feel right now. After all these years, I’m finally set to receive a bronze medal for my performance in the 1500 meters at the 2011 World Championships. It’s bittersweet, knowing that my rivals’ doping offenses have tainted the sport I love. I poured my heart and soul into that race, and to think that others may have cheated their way to the podium is disheartening.
