The latest single from a 4 track project features soulful singer, Annalisa Fernandez. Together, the two seamlessly blend disco, dreamy Rnb and garage, which we hear in the final track, “Give It Up”. Despite its minimal production on this particular track, the song doesn’t fail to get your feet moving. Throughout, the basslines infuse the tracks with a funky vibe and an overall summery essence. Evoking feelings of warmth, we are transported to scenes of basking in the sun’s radiant glow. With a penchant for dance music and everything soul, Tentendo’s fusion of shuffled grooves and funky basslines are a solid bedrock foundation for his brand of House. For him, music has always been the perfect creative release and the perfect vessel to transport positivity from the studio to the dancefloor. Annalisa comments on “Give It Up” - ‘Give It Up’ is about being present in the moment and truly just letting go and just being. Being the energy you want to attract. Tentendo’s style is largely attributed to his attention to detail, particularly when it comes to bass. As a producer for over 7 years, having spent his formative years mastering the electric bass and playing in bands throughout high school; it comes as no surprise that one of his signature features lies in his ability to lay down a hybrid foundation of live and programmed beats and basslines. With a no-holds-barred attitude to production, Tentendo’s been able to carve out a unique sound and carefully refine his process over the years. Tentendo’s back catalogue has received praise and support from the likes of BBC1, Okayplayer and High Snobiety, and he’s been able to share the stage with Fred Again…, FKJ, Pomo and Joe Kay. Additionally, he’s also produced for several other artists in the Billy Davis camp, including Blasko and Jordan Dennis. Today, Tentendo is sitting on a slew of hard-hitting singles that gave him international recognition and festival booking including BIGSOUND and Laneway Festival. Tentendo comments, “The EP feels very warm and fun, if I saw this EP as a colour, it would be sunset orange. We want to uplift people, we want people to dance, have fun and be free. Even if we wrote these songs from our own experiences and ideas, we want people to connect to the record in their own way. Music connects us all and there’s no one way to interpret it.”
