Hitler’s First Invasion - Operation Winter Exercise 1936

In 1936 Hitler launched his first invasion - his target, a piece of Germany called the Rhineland, demilitarised by the treaty of Versailles. It was the moment when Britain and France could have stopped Hitler permanently and avoided WW2. Dr. Mark Felton FRHistS, FRSA, is a well-known British historian, the author of 22 non-fiction books, including bestsellers ’Zero Night’ and ’Castle of the Eagles’, both currently being developed into movies in Hollywood.
