Heroes of Might & Magic 5 Haven Town Theme Animatic (2005, Ubisoft/Nival) 1080p HD Animated

An animatic of the fully completed Haven town set to the town’s theme song. The visuals go so well with the audio I often feel it stir my emotions whenever I open up a Haven town in the course of a game. I often find myself stopping to listen and take in the visual feast at once. The Humans of the Holy Griffin Empire are inspired and guided by angels. It’s a feudal society driven by the rigorous edicts of the Dragon of Light. The Heroes V counterpart of its Heroes I-II cousins, the Knight castle, the Heroes III Castle town, and its Heroes IV namesake, the Haven. Often referred to as the ’human town’, the Haven is one of only two towns showcased so far. It maintains many of its creatures from the previous games, with the Griffin returning to the Holy town after a short stint with the naturalists. The Inferno town acts as the Haven town’s arch-rival in Heroes V, described as the “classic Heroes of Might and Magic fight - Good vs. Evil, Angels vs. Devils.“ The content of this video is created with the assets of the game Heroes of Might and Magic V. All assets (models, textures, animations, audio) belong to Ubisoft. Music composed by Paul Anthony Romero, with additional components by Rob King (lead sound designer) Karin Mushegain is the mezzo-soprano of this piece.
