In the late summer of 1984, Walter Hill, the renowned film director known for his work on gritty and action-packed films like “The Warriors“ and “48 Hrs,“ found himself in the midst of a humorous escapade while filming in the historic town of Tombstone, Arizona.
Walter Hill was directing the western film “Wild Bill,“ and the production had chosen Tombstone as the perfect backdrop for its authentic Old West atmosphere. The cast and crew were dedicated to capturing the essence of the era, but little did they know that a series of comical events was about to unfold.
One day, during the shoot, Walter Hill decided to take a break and explore the town in full cowboy attire – hat, boots, and all. Embracing the spirit of the Wild West, he wandered into one of Tombstone’s local saloons, fully expecting a warm welcome.
